About Scott Laningham

Scott Laningham wrote and recorded Moose in My House, Monkey Motel, HiJack!, and a number of other silly songs in the late 1980s/early 1990s that found their way on to the radio through contests, a subscription radio service, and random bootlegging. Some of them are still played today. Ok, this is where I switch to first person.
I started this blog to interact with fans of the music, and to write about and share stuff that I enjoy. Humor is the primary but not singular focus here. I’m also a drummer, new media producer, journalist, and a dad, so what I publish here runs the gamut and is influenced by all of that and more. I hope you enjoy it, and join in with comments and suggestions.
If you’re interested in purchasing mp3s of my tunes, check out the player on the main page. You can stream many of the songs right there for listening or click on the “Store” link for many purchase options (iTunes, Amazon, Napster, etc). Or just click HERE. Of course, like any creative artist, I appreciate your support and expression of gratitude in a purchase.
By the way, my name is not Big Head Todd and I don’t have a band called the Monsters. I don’t know why there is so much misunderstanding on the Web about the origins of Moose in My House, but Big Head and Co. are not the originators of Moose in My House. I don’t even think they claim to be. Someone else who likes to post lyrics is just confused.
